The more you use EQ8, the more fun it is to discover new and interesting methods for block drawing and quilt designing! Learn tips and tricks to make EQ8 do more than the obvious. Create an isometric grid in PolyDraw to draw hexagon-motif (free-standing) blocks. Draw a custom set quilt layout from the EasyDraw Block Worktable. Learn to design an irregular-shaped quilt – round or angular! Explore the Layout Library to see how to resize, edit, and customize existing layouts. Create a quilt design with 60-degree pieced triangles in the Variable Point layout. Bend the “rules” for merging blocks with the Serendipity tool. Practice analyzing existing quilt patterns for structure identification and design inspiration. Make EQ8 your favorite video game!

About EQ Academy
EQ Academy is a workshop for students wanting to learn how to use their EQ8 software. EQ8 classes are either half day (3 hours) or full day (6 hours) with an hour lunch break in between sessions. Each instructor brings years of experience and will provide practical content for the use of software.
How to fill your days: It is not required that you attend all days of the event. You may enroll in as many classes as you like. If you do plan to attend all days, we recommend filling your days with as many classes as you can. Click here to see a complete schedule (PDF) of all the classes being offered.
These are EQ8 computer classes. There will be no sewing during class time.
